Processes of land and ecosystem degradation have taken over large portions of the Maasai Mara. With our partners and through involving the community, we have been able to plant a total of 8,000 trees to date. After 3 months of caretaking, the trees continue to grow on their own within the current climate. Mainly schools, community spaces and households have been the focus of tree planting. Once grown, they give opportunity for understory vegetation to improve and provide shade besides strengthening the soil to battle wind and water erosion. 

Our project of ecosystem regeneration is more than tree planting. By providing trainings of holistic, nature inclusive, grazing management we aim to give the savannah a chance to revert into the healthy and thriving ecosystem it once was, with space for people and livestock.
